Israel in Germany - Germany in Israel: 60 Years of shared History

In November 2008, a group of 15 students each from Israel and Germany will set off for an eight-day study trip to explore the other country. The guiding theme of this journey Israel in Germany - Germany in Israel: 60 years of shared history draws the attention to the manifold and close links between the two states. The students get to know the other's country under various aspects of science and academy, politics and culture. The two groups will meet on various occasions during the days of their journey. These encounters will initiate a lively discussion about the German-Israeli relations in the past, present and future. The private contacts between the young students awaken interest in the partner country and create ties beyond the days of the study trip.
