  • Highlight week in Israel

    In the week from November 16 to 21, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Israeli Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport (MOST), and the German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development (GIF) organized a number of events in Jerusalem, both as a highlight of the German-Israeli Year of Science and Technology and to mark the 20th anniversary of the GIF. Over two hundred renowned German and Israeli personalities from the spheres of industry, politics and society came to celebrate the special occasion.

  • Einstein revisits Humboldt

    From November 4 to 6, a delegation of about 20 researchers, post-docs and doctoral students from the Hebrew University's Einstein Center came to Berlin and presented their center's work, following an invitation from Prof. Christoph Markschies, the President of the Humboldt University in Berlin, and Prof. Jürgen Renn, the Director of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science.

  • Heidelberg- Event

    At the invitation of the City of Heidelberg, a multidisciplinary symposium entitled "Heidelberg-Israel, Science and Culture" was held on July 17 and 18. It illustrated Heidelberg's many contacts to Israel.

  • Opening Ceremony

    On 7th April the opening concert took place in the glass courtyard of the Jewish Museum and on 8th April the opening ceremony was held in the Leibniz hall of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy, in Berlin.
